About 2 miles into day 2. Stunning

News from Distant Hills

We arrived before 1500 at the Distant Hills B&B in Spean Bridge. Good first day, we've covered 15 miles (or 26,367 steps according to Neale's pedometer).
Weather tomorrow looks calm, possibly even a bit sunny but still freezing or just above. Anyway, today we've been really lucky with the weather and if we get another day as good we'll be pleased.
Time to wind down for a while and warm up before heading our for some dinner.
More posts tomorrow.

The Road to Spean Bridge

A long walk on country roads but at least the views were stunning (when they weren't shrouded in rain...)

Gairlochy

An hour or so on from lunch and the sun is out again and we reach the end of the Great Glen Walk day 1 - we have another four miles to walk to our B&B

Lunch

A well timed stop as about five minutes after we started walking again a hail squall hit us.

Scottish sunshine

Following two days of very bad weather the sun decides to shine in us between Neptune's Staircase and Gairlochy

Fort William

The view from our bed and breakfast. Cold but calm here.

As far as Inverness

We've made it as far as Inverness and waiting for a bus to take us to Fort William after the weather turned nasty and Mum decided a long drive through blizzards might not be her cup of tea. Will post our progress later...

Well, it's been a while since I posted. The snow is clearing here but all the same our plan is to stick to the undercliff walk today.
